Who It's For & Prerequisites
- No prior diving experience needed
- Minimum age 10 (certified to 12m/40ft with adult supervision); 15+ for the standard certification (18m/60ft)
- Must pass a swim test: continuously swim 200m (or 300m with mask, fins, and snorkel) and float/tread water for 10 minutes
- Must complete a standard medical questionnaire; certain medical conditions require a physician's written sign-off before diving

Do I need any experience to start?

How long does certification take?

What's the medical questionnaire about?
Every student completes a standard medical questionnaire before diving. If you answer yes to certain conditions, you'll need written clearance from a physician — this is for your safety. We're happy to share the form in advance so you can check with your doctor if needed.
What happens after I'm certified?
Your certification is valid for life and recognized at dive operations worldwide — and it's the prerequisite for the Advanced Open Water Diver course.
