Cancellation Policy

How cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds work for dive trips and certification courses with GB Dive Company.

Dive Trips (Cozumel, Curacao, and similar group trips)

Customer Cancellations

  • 60+ days before departure: full refund of all payments beyond the deposit. The deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred to a future GB Dive Company trip.
  • 30–59 days before departure: 50% refund of the balance paid (deposit remains forfeited).
  • Less than 30 days before departure: no refund. At this point, hotel and boat costs are locked in and non-recoverable.

GB Dive Company Cancellations

  • If GB Dive Company cancels the trip for any reason (weather, insufficient group size, etc.), you'll receive a full refund of everything paid, including the deposit — or, if you prefer, a credit toward a future trip.
  • Group trips require a minimum number of divers to run. We'll confirm by 45 days before departure whether the trip is a go; if the minimum isn't met, you'll be notified and offered a full refund or transfer.

Certification Courses & Classes

  • Cancel 7+ days before your first scheduled session: full refund.
  • Cancel within 7 days of your first session, or after materials/certification fees have been ordered: those fees are non-refundable, but you can reschedule into a future class at no extra charge within 12 months.
  • If GB Dive Company cancels or reschedules a class (insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability, etc.), you'll receive a full refund or a free transfer to the next available class — your choice.
